The 2025 Climate & Health+ Lumbini to LoManthang (L2L) transect was an innovative interdisciplinary initiative designed to explore the acute impacts of climate and social change on human health and on the diverse ecological and cultural landscapes of Nepal. To investigate these interconnected impacts, the L2L field school brought together students and faculty from five countries, each bringing with them a diverse range of educational and professional backgrounds, for a three-week interdisciplinary field transect through the Lumbini and Gandaki Provinces of Nepal.
PlanetLab will lead the Himalayan Planetary Health Transect in Summer 2026, building on the success of the 2025 Climate & Health+ L2L transect.
