Computer Science and Linguistics (Class of 2026)

I was born in Kathmandu, Nepal, and at the age of 7, my family and I moved to the United States. Growing up in a different country allowed me to gain a broader perspective on how the lack of technology is affecting the environment. During my journey, I had the opportunity to meet Dr. McAdoo, who inspired me to use my knowledge in the fields of computer science and linguistics to contribute to the Planet Lab. Within the Planet Lab team, my role primarily revolves around conducting literature reviews on diverse issues prevalent in the Himalayas, with a particular focus on topics such as air quality.  Furthermore, I have been working on developing an app for the Planet Lab. Through this app, I want to create a platform that allows individuals and communities to actively engage in sustainable practices, environmental conservation, and help make changes.
