Ryan is a Ph.D. student researching the environmental influences, such as estuarine dynamics and deforestation, on hydrologically mediated health effects among rural communities in southeastern Madagascar. He is also integrating remotely-sensed Earth observation and hydrogeological data to identify groundwater availability in eastern Uganda. Ryan is committed to market-based approaches to funding projects that address the issues uncovered by his research.
